Troy again. Rosie is feeling better, but still sleeping all day. I’ve been encouraging her to write on the blog, but she just doesn’t feel like it. Sorry!

Unfortunately for you all, I do feel like writing.

Really, I just wanted to ask all of the wonderful people that read the blog to please leave comments when you get a chance. Any comment really helps Rosie keep a good attitude and right now attitude is what it’s all about. So, if you can, please drop us even a quick thought like, “Hi! We’re thinking of you. Love the puke story.”

Also, I thought I would mention that we are now up to 5-10 spam comments per day. I guess they are seeing all the traffic we get and are trying to cash in, so maybe we can take it as a compliment? Whatever. I’m deleting them as fast as I can. It’s so irritating.

Thanks for all the good comments!

– Troy

  1. I hate spam! I had to take down my discussion group on my website because of it! But, I do love to read Rosie’s writings, she should put this all together in a book some day when this is all over! People love it when someone shares so honestly. I so believe diet is at the heart of most of our health issues. What I’ve learned lately taking a holistic nutrition class and what I’ve read in books (UltraMetabolism is great by the way) on how far we have come from eathing a whole food diet it’s an amazing feat of the human body that we are all still walking around! It can take a lot of abuse. Anyway, I can’t wait to hear all about the trip to Europe! Just be careful on that plain trip home! Sorry, couldn’t help that! Don came back from China yesterday while all the news was about the terrorist plot that they THINK they foiled!!! I was glad when he walked throught he door, 3 hours late from the flight delayed in Chicago! He could have driven home faster!

  2. Rosie, I’ve e-mailed a couple of times but I didn’t want to overdo it and become a pest! I think about you and your family all the time and I’ve been keeping up with your progress. How would you like a visitor? Lemme know…Anyhow, I hear you’re really tired and not feeling so hot. I hope you can read books, though I know if you’re really druggy and sick it’s too hard to focus on a book. SIGH By the way, Critter is 6 today! We’re going to Red Lobster so he can feast on popcorn shrimp :) Sending you love and hugs….Judy E.

  4. Hey there – I’m hoping Rosie starts feeling better this weekend. It’s supposed to be beautiful weather!

I also wanted to let you know that I too have had a hard time keeping up with all the concerned callers/emailers, and your site inspired me to start a blog as well. Do you mind if I put a link to your blog on my blog?

  5. Woohoo! Rosie has peach fuzz hair! I remember that stage when my daughter’s hair began to come back. Although for her it wasn’t chemo-induced, just pre-teen “I’m gonna shave my head” induced. She did do it for a good cause and donated the hair to Wigs for Kids, but the change was hard to adjust to! :)

I have a dear friend who wants to sleep all the time right now because of his chemo. You’re in good company, Rosie. Hang in there sweetie. Your strength and energy will come back thousandfold when you get through this round!

  6. Rosie,

Think about the cool weather on it’s way to your neck of the woods. Autumn is the BEST time of year and you’ll be growing your beautiful hair back, playing outside with the family and just enjoying the upswing of LIFE! Hang in there, girl, we all love you.

Whenever I feel a bit sad, I play this song by mandalay.. its called beautiful… I will check on your blog whenever I can and send you all my best wishes, alex

    “You can depend
    On certainty
Count it out and weigh it up again
    You can be sure
    You’ve reached the end
    And still you don’t feel

    Do you know you’re beautiful
    Do you know you’re beautiful
    Do you know you’re beautiful
    You are, yes you are

    You can ignore
    What you’ve become
Take it out and see it die again
    You can be here
    For who’s a friend
    And still you don’t feel

    Do you know you’re beautiful
    Do you know you’re beautiful
    Do you know you’re beautiful
    You are, yes you are

    Innermost thoughts
    Will be understood and
You can have all you need

    Do you know
    You know about anything
    Do you know
    You know about anyone

    Do you know you’re beautiful
    Do you know you’re beautiful
    Do you know you’re beautiful
    You are, yes you are”

  10. Troy-
If you turn on the verification log in you can stop from getting spam. The one downfall is it won’t allow anonymous comments…you have to create a blogger login to then leave comments. It will stop the spam though. I battled the same thing.

  11. Thank you all! I love your comments, so always keep them coming, spam or no spam. Alex, what an awesome song! Amy, we all need to clean up our diets, don’t we? I read something recently that said if you want to eat meat, it needs to be like the cavemen – wild game. There are enough squirrels around here … maybe I shouldn’t finish that sentence. Sarah, yay! I inspired another blog. I’m sorry it had to be because of another breast cancer diagnosis, particularly in a young woman. Everyone else, thank you, thank you, thank you!
