We worked on the yard all day again today, spreading grass seed & straw over the new front yard. Rosie (and Colleen) spent a lot of time planting in the awesome new flower boxes in the new retaining wall. We went to the Avon Farmer’s Market early (around 9 am) and bought straw, flowers and vegetable plants. Rosie is excited about buying four different types of lettuce plants. We are envisioning a super-fresh salad every night this summer. Colleen and I went shopping at Sam’s Club and ate lunch there (pizza), which we always enjoy. When we got home, Colleen invited her new best friend Georgina over to play. I put down pavers for a temporary walkway so we can stop tracking so much mud into the house. As the sun went down I set up the sprinkler to water the new grass seed and enjoyed the sunset from my favorite lawn chair in my new front yard.

  1. I have yard envy!! We’ve been spending these gorgeous days at the playground or in Grant Park.
